Millie Morley scores hattrick and Hillians make it 8 league games without defeat

Burgess Hill Town Ladies 7 [Millie Morley (3) , Jade Chapman (2), Maria Bardea, Jess Gray ] Milford & Witley 1

The Hillians were determined to get back to winning ways in their bid for promotion after their hard Cup game against Premier Div side Ashford the previous week ,

It took only 10 minutes to take the lead , Jade Chapman lobbing in from a narrow angle, and this settled any possible nerves as the Hillians soon started to display their superior tactics and skills.

Despite plenty of constructive attacking football, with Jess Gray and Maria Bardea having chances to increase the lead it was another 15 minutes brefore Bardea was the provider for Chapman to score her 2nd

The Hillians back four of Annie Lees , Hannah Harvey, Penny Gittins and Ellie Lawrence dealt competently with any Milford attack and it was no surprise when Millie Morley scored the 1st of her hatrick. Lotti Pollendine was unfortunate to see her shot hit the upright and the half ended with Hillians clearly the better side .

The 2nd half commenced with subs Gabby Bucur and Diana Vilciu on the field and in less than 10 mins Morley scored her 2nd following a corner and the ensueing melee to basically put the game safe.

The Hillians 5th goal came when Bardea supplied a perfect pass to Jess Gray who, for the 3rd time this season, scored with one of her long range specials just below the crossbar.

The Hillians are fortunate to have 2 excellent keepers so they took the opportunity to give some game time to Kalila Golding-Huckle and shortly afterwards Bardea made the scoreline 6-0.

Milford did get one back from a long range shot , and then gave Goulding-Huckle the chance to show her keeping skills before , after a lot of pressure, Morley completed her hattrick in the dying minutes of the game

Milford & Witley named Maria Bardea as the Hillians "Player of the match" whilst Manager Mark Bishop named Millie Morley as his "Player of the match".

Next Sunday the Hillians visit 2nd placed Mole Valley knowing that they have already beaten them at home this seaason and a win would lift them to 2nd place !! .
